Piper L-4 Army Grasshopper 1/4th Scale Short Kit by Jim Pepino

The Jim Pepino Piper L-4 Army Grasshopper is 106 inch wingspan and is 1/4th scale. This item is the short kit for this great model. It includes all of the balsawood and plywood ribs and formers as laid out in the plan set.  This model requires that the builder has some scratch building experience.
 
The Piper L-4 Army Grasshopper is the military version of the J-3 Cub.  It is one of the best known aircraft of all time. The L-4 was primarily used for reconnaissance, artillery spotting and moving people behind the lines.
